Satire – teenagers don’t know anything.
Teenagers don’t know anything.
They have no experience
They are dumb
They should not have opinions
They are not educated
Not capable of thinking about things that matter
Only want to do drugs, drink alcohol, be rebellious, wear hoodies and be disrespectful.
Teenagers are loud, obnoxious, rebellious, out of control, and up to no good.
Use wit irony, sarcasm, and hyperbole.
State problem and over exaggerate
Ironic solution
Use wit
point of view of middle aged man
This is a good initial plan. The next step will be to find an ‘angle’ from which to illustrate the criticism of these stereotypes. One would be to describe someone who would normally not be subject to this sort of criticism in the same terms, turning what they might consider to be virtues into flaws – say a middle aged man and our tendency to think we’re right about everything.
